The breathtaking Iguazu Falls is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site and one of the New7Wonders of Nature, located at the borders of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. The Iguazu Falls is taller than Niagara Falls, twice as wide with 275 cascades spread over nearly two miles of the Iguazu River.

The impressive Christ the Redeemer, a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, lays atop Corcovado mountain, overlooking the city with open arms, a symbol of peace. The statue, made of reinforced concrete and soapstone, has become an icon for Rio de Janeiro and Brazil and it is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

The Amazon Rainforest represents over half of the planet’s remaining rainforests, and comprises the largest and most biodiverse tract of tropical rainforest in the world. The majority of the forest is contained within Brazil, with 60% of the rainforest, followed by Peru and minor amounts in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.  The Amazon jungle is one of the New7Wonders of Nature.

The Incan ruins of Machu Picchu are located 2,430 meters (7,970 ft) above sea level, in the Cusco Region, Peru. Machu Picchu was built in the classical Inca style around 1450, with polished dry-stone walls. Its three primary structures are the Inti Watana, the Temple of the Sun, and the Room of the Three Windows. Machu Picchu is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

The Galapagos Islands in Ecuador are world-renowned for the unique wildlife, much of which was inspiration for Charles Darwin’s Theory of Natural Selection. Giant tortoises, sea lions, penguins, marine iguanas and different bird species can all be seen and approached. The Galapagos are listed as a World Heritage Site. Strict controls on tourist access are maintained in an effort to protect the natural habitats.
